A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I have been crafting for more years than I can count hahaha.
I started to knit and crochet when I was 5. I can remember learning to crochet
and made the longest chain ever, once I got the hang of that I moved on to the
stitches and blossomed from there. I was forever making gifts for birthdays and
holidays. I never really sold anything till I was about 15. My dad helped my 2
older sisters and myself get a spot in a local handmade consignment shop.
As I grew I dabbled in many other crafts as well, over the
years a few stuck, some others weren’t my thing. Cake decorating though was one
that took, I was 12 when I started to make cakes for everyone’s birthday. I
used my mom’s decorating plunger, it was metal and awkward but it did the
trick, I have since graduated to better equipment and skills 😊
I still make everyone’s birthday cakes and have made several Wedding cakes for
family.
For a few years back I started to make Primitive and Country
style items for the home. I enjoyed sewing and creating them but space became
limited and I had to slow down on creating. I went back to my roots and for the
past couple of years have enjoyed knitting and crocheting again. I have posted
a few patterns online. I also started to sell some of the finished items on
Etsy last year.
I am now using this blog and my Facebook page to sell. Etsy,
though it is a great place for other sellers, but for the small-time seller like
myself, with fees and now the new seller requirements, I have decided this is
best for me. I will use Paypal for
payment option. You don’t need to be a paypal member to purchase items you can
still use it without joining.
